References
  1.   After her husband's death, Antonia along with her step-son, Thomas, and her three children (Klara, Stephan, and Rosalia) immigrated to the United States in 1889. Within a short time after her arrival in Douglas County, Minnesota, Antonia married Ignatius Kroll.
  2.   In the Our Founders' Legacy, a history of Millerville, Douglas County, Minnesota, written by Helen Joos Cichy, the author mentions that Antonia Pikulik came to the United States with her five children and that one died at sea. My research shows that she came to the U.S. with three children and a possible step-son, Thomas, Pikulik. Antonia's son, Michael, was not on the Hamburg Passenger List nor the passenger list at New York City.

In the 1900 Census, it states that Antonia had five children, four still living. So far, my research has found seven children and at least two have died before 1889; it is possible that Agnes died by 1889 because she is not listed on either passenger list. I am still researching the Lobsen parish church records to find information about this family.
