He immigrated to the United States as a young man, probably in the 1890s when there was a mass emmigration of Poles from their homeland due to poverty, with 4 million immigrating to the United States.

On 21 April 1902, in Detroit, Michigan, Anthony married Marcella Kisiel, also a Polish immigrant. He was 22 and she 19. Their only child was Clara Przetacznik, born on 26 March 1905 in Detroit. Anthony worked as a laborer.

Anthony Przetacznik died on Feb. 17, 1906 of meningitis (inflammation of the membranes around the brain and spinal cord), with a contributing factor of nephritis (inflammation of the kidneys). He was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Detroit.
