Anthony Ling was reportedly born to his parents John and Catherine Ling, a bout 1791, in Bedford CO PA. He apparently grew up, and m et his wife Hannah in Bedford Twp Bedford CO PA. T he census record of 1820 seems to show that they married before then. Acco rding to the various records, he and Hannah moved to OH in about 1835-183 6. In the 1840 census, they are listed in Orange Twp Richland Count y OH. This area was incorporated into Ashland Township in 1846. In the 18 50 census, they are listed in Sullivan Twp Ashland CO O H. It is reported that Anthony died in Ashland CO in about 1851. He se ems to have been a farmer all of his life.

Anthony seems to be counted in the household of his parents, in the 1810 c ensus, in Bedford Twp Bedford CO PA.

Anthony Ling; 1 male 26-44 years (Anthony); 1 female under 10 years, 1 fem ale 10-14 years, 1 female 16-26 years (Hannah); 1 person engaged in agricu lture.

Anthony seems to be living near to his parents and the family of his broth ers Daniel and Jacob.

Ashland CO was formed in 1846, in part from Richland CO. Orange To wnship was definitely in the part that became Ashland CO. Althou gh he is listed in a different CO in the 1850 census, it seems very li kely that Anthony was living in the same area or pretty close to it.
