Annis Trickey was a daughter of Giles and Margaret Trickey. She was probably born in Caswell County, NC. On August 12, 1784 in Caswell County, NC, she married Hezekiah DeWeese (1760-1839), a Soldier of the Revolution. They had 9 children: Jonathan (1785-1841), Marchant (1787-1848), William M. (1789-1858), Aaron (1793-1841), Moses (1796-1823), Mary (1798-1845), Nancy (1799- ), Martha (1802-1883) and Rachel (1806-1859). The family moved to Mecklenburg County, NC around 1800.
