Daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Roxanna Nelson Mallow. Annie P. Sponaugle, 96, formerly of Circleville, died December 26, [1982] at the Nella's Nursing Home in Elkins. She had been at the home two years. Mrs. Sponaugle was born at Circleville November 14, 1886, and was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Rosanna Nelson Mallow. She had been married twice. After her first husband, Gilbert Sponaugle, died in 1925, she married Bead Sponaugle. Surviving are three daughters Helen Ogden of Bowden, Mary Bennett of Cleveland, Ohio and Ethel Arbogast of Lacey Spring, Va.; four sons, Brison Sponaugle of Circleville, Bennie Sponaugle of Suitland, Md., Gilbert Sponaugle of Cherry Grove and Berlin Sponaugle of Parma, Ohio; a sister, Mary Thompson of Charmco; a brother, Isaac Mallow of Circleville; 29 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. The funeral was conducted December 30 at Circleville United Methodist Church by the Rev. George Senic. Burial was in the Sponaugle Family Cemetery near Circleville by Basagic Funeral Home.
