[7] Ann Wheatley was born about l70l or 1703. This estimate is based on the premise that she was under 16 at the time of her father's will but at least 14 or 15 by the time she married John Norris in November of 1717. (Harry A. Additional proof of this marriage is furnished by the following facts:'
1. John Norris paid "rent" taxes on 164 acres of Wheatley's content in 1717.
2. By December 1761 Thomas Norris s/o John and Ann Norris died, leaving his sons Clement and John each one half of 150 acres of Wheatley's Content. He apparently acquired it from his parents for whom no wills or death records have been found. (Harry A. Davis, The Norris family of Maryland and Virginia, p. 26).
