- There is some unclarity if Anne was male or female. However there is mention in the burial register of the Hervormde Church in Dokkum that 15 December 1822 an nameless child of the stepson of Hendrik (Hindrik) Reis was buried there. The only Hendrik eligible as a grandfather for that child seems Hendrik Reis born in 1767. This would imply that Gerritje Jans' Bekker already had a child when she married Hendrik. I suspect Anne was this child.
