While in the Wac's, Mom received the following immunizations: smallpox-20 Feb 1943; typhoid-papratyphoid-17 Sept. 1943; Tetanus 1 Apr 1943; Typhus 2 Sept 1943; Cholera 2 Sept 1943; Yellow Fever-19 Aug 1943.

(Medical):Mom developed breast cancer, and had a mystectamy. I do not know if it was a single, radical or which breast. She was about 52 at this time. About 56 she was diagnosed with liver cancer. Only Dad was told of her condition. Mom did not even know she had more cancer. She died about six months later at Women's Medical in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before she died, she had lost much weight and became jaundice. Her immediate cause of death is CARCINOMATOSIS.

Mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer in the early 1960's. 5 years after a radical mastictamy, cancer had been found in her liver. She ultimately died of cancer in her liver in 1968.

Mom suffered from depression. Most of the time I saw her she was in bed. When everyone was out of the house, she would get up to clean, walk to the Salvation Army, or go to Town. She enjoyed reading in bed. Mom developed breast cancer, and had a mastectomy. I do not know if it was a single, radical or which breast. She was about 52 at this time.
