Mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer in the early 1960's. 5 years after a radical mastictamy, cancer had been found in her liver. She ultimately died of cancer in her liver in 1968. Mom suffered from depression. Most of the time I saw her she was in bed. When everyone was out of the house, she would get up to clean, walk to the Salvation Army, or go to Town. She enjoyed reading in bed. Mom developed breast cancer, and had a mastectomy. I do not know if it was a single, radical or which breast. She was about 52 at this time.
