According to Ann's death certificate (Ann Bell Kirk), Book I, No. 222, St. Joseph Co., MI, Death Records" "It was Ann (Rogers) Miller and seven of the Miller children and their families who left the Town of Greece, Monroe Co., NY, as a group in the spring of 1835, after the death of Frederick P. in 1832. Samuel, the Executor of his father's Will and the leader of the Miller Settlement of Mason Twp., Cass Co., MI, with his first wife, Anna "Nancy" (Owen) and her parents, Ruth (Gee)Owen (Sept. 27, 1777, Ulster Co., NY - November 1, 1852, Elkhart Co, IN) and Morgan Owen (July 30, 1776, NY - December 29, 1851, Elkhart Co., IN), chose to settle in Elkhart County, IN, just across the IN-MI state line."
