Ruth Gee(1777-1752) and Morgan Owen (1776- 1751), moved West with their children from Monroe County, New York, to settle with their friends, the Frederick Miller family. They settled in York Township, Elkhart County, Indiana, on State Line Road just south and a little east of Mottville, Michigan. Next to them settled their daughter, Anna "Nancy" Owen (1808-1835), and her husband, Samuel S. Miller (abt.1802-1839), with their son, Aaron, and, soon after their arrival, a daughter, Mary Ann. At their death, Ruth and Morgan's surviving sons all received a parcel of land from their estate, but Mariah, the only surviving daughter, seemed to have inherited the household goods, including the Owen Family Bible.

The graves of Ruth and Morgan Owen and Nancy and Samuel Miller have never been found. They could have been buried almost anywhere without stones, including Five Points Cemetery in the oldest part of the cemetery, which originally was the family cemetery of John Worst and his wife, Sarah T. (Miller) Holmes Worst, the sister of Samuel S. Miller. [Find a Grave site of daughter Mariah: [1]
