 BENDER

   Anna Barbara Bender, 98, of Grantsville, Md., formerly of Meyersdale,
 died Feb. 22, 2000, in Goodwill Mennonite Home.  She was born Nov. 18,
 1901, in Garrett County, Md., a daughter of the late Lewis J. and Amelia
 (Orendorf) Maust.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, in
 1984, and these children, James, Mary, Lois and Dorcas, two grandchildren
 and one great-grandchild.  She is survived by these children, Philip of
 Grantsville, Paul of Salisbury, Naomi R. Yoder of Meyersdale, and Sarah
 Miller of Lancaster, 37 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and six
 great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Martha Yoder of Grantsville.  She was
 a member of the Oakdale Mennonite Church.  Friends will be received
 Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  Friday she
 will be taken to the Oakdale Mennonite Church to lie in state from
 9:30-10:30 a.m., time of service, with Pastor Joe Byler in charge.
 Interment, Oakdale Cemetery.
