- ↑ Anna was described by my mother as being "a very kind and sweet person".
Ann Hahn Knies, Anna's granddaughter, recalls her differently, Ann says that Anna would barely pay any attention to her. When Anne would visit, Anna would just sit on the porch swing and say nothing - just nodding occasionally. Ann was supposed to be named after Anna and Ann surmises that Anna was upset with her for not using the name "Anna" instead of "Ann". Seems to me that Anna was taking the frustration out on the wrong person, if this account is accurate.
Anne was the daughter of Fred C. Hahn and Ellie Lawley Hahn. - ↑ I can just barely remember "Nanna", as we called her, as I was only 4 when she died. I can vaguely recall her sitting down with me and helping me go through a box of toys that she had. My mother, Madge, recalled Anna as being a very sweet person with a wonderful disposition.
