Anna Margaretha probably immigrated on the 'Samuel' in 1739 with some of her relatives. She was not on the 'Two Sisters' with Leonhardt in 1738, but she appears in the Zion Moselem Church records during 1740 along with some other people named Klein. Considerable circumstantial evidence exists indicating she was closely related to Johann Adam Klein, and if such is the case, then she was born in Hessen. However, even if she and Adam were siblings, there were too many Kleins in Ravolzhausen and Mittelbuchen to positively identify their parents. In addition, the possibility cannot be overlooked that both she and Leonhardt were born in Württemberg. Her gravestone is still barely legible, and it states she was born in 1720, was married for 43 years, and bore 13 children with five sons and six daughters living. Subtracting those 43 years from Leonhardt's year of death yields the year of marriage to be 1735. The unknown child was probably born in Germany prior to emigration and either died there or during the voyage. No matter how one juggles the numbers, she was married very young to a man almost twice her age.
