ELLERSLIE — Anna May Goebel, 64, of Ellerslie, passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born March 6, 1945, in Charleroi, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Alvin W. and Anna (Loughner) Elder.
Mrs. Goebel was a Child Evangelism Fellowship Director for Allegany County. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing and making wedding flowers.
Surviving are her husband of 34 years, Frank Goebel; one son, James Goebel and wife Lori; four daughters, Karen Cutler and husband Dennis, Rebecca Appel and husband Todd, Sally Goebel and Patti Goebel; one sister, Catherine Kimball and husband Ray; and seven grandchildren, Thomas, Emily, Jeremiah, Lucy, Jacob, Meleah and Will.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, scarpellifuneralhomes.com on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
