Dear Jim,

I have looked high and low for Moses Kerr. You are the only one that has a Moses. So, just in case we both have the same Moses, I can give you what I have on Anna Bruce, so if we are right this will help you a little. I am going to try to find their daughter and see what I come up with. What ever I find I will let you know.

Anna's father Rev. Joshua Bruce came from Albermale Co., Virginia bef. 1800. He bought two thousand acres of land on Walker Creek (not all at once). On Sept.17-1801 he married Sarah Hearn (I have found three spellings of her last name Hearn-Herren-and-Hern). They had 12 children.

Joshua Bruce's will, it states: "It is understood that Sarah B. Harda my Grand Daughter shall have what would have been convey to Anna Kerr, her mother if she had lived." Joshua also kept a record of the gifts he gave his children before he died. He try to be fair to each one of them.
