Ann States was the only child of John States.

On Aug. 22, 1772, Ann conveyed some land she had inherited from her father to John Gardner.

On Oct. 5, 1787 clerk of Rockingham Co. Va. wrote to the clerk of Washington Co N.C. to go to Isaac and examine wife Ann and request that she relinquish her right of dower. Isaac and Ann signed Jan. 28, 1788.
