    - 1840 Will of John Morgan Bassett (proved 1841) names John’s mother, Anne and his Uncle William Morgan, Esq of Magdalen College, Oxford as co-Executors of his estate. (PM-575)
    - 1841 Census (Ancestry.com):
    - Will of John James Bassett (written 1827, proved 1842) left all of his estate to his brother, Thomas Bassett, but Thomas died before proving the will; his widow, Anne proved the will. (PM-573)
    - 1848 Letters of Administration of Ann Bassett, Spinster of Cardiff (PM-402.1) indicate that Ann Bassett, widow, became the Executrix of the estate of John James Bassett and was applying for permission to complete administration of the estate of the former Ann Bassett. Ann Bassett, widow, is also told to make an inventory of the estate of Ann Bassett, spinster. Ann Bassett (widow) of Bonvilston & Southerndown did sign the admin. Ann Bassett, widow was bonded with William Lewis of Bridgend and Thomas Gillis of Southerndown to make a perfect inventory of all the goods chattels and credits of the deceased by March next (written 11 Sept 1848).
