Includes Basset family of Drayton, Beaupre, St. Hilary, Lanblethian, Landough, Sigginstone, Lantrithyd, Bonvilstone, Eglwysbrewis, Miskin, Haford, Lanelay, Treguss, Caerwent, Cogan, Llantrisaint, and Roath. Also includes Carne family of Nash and Ewenny. One family is that of Thomas Carne who married Jane Stradling in 1652 and was sheriff of Glamorgan County. Ancestry is traced back several centuries.
