Ann Ambrose was baptised on 27th December 1767 at Studham in Bedfordshire, daughter of John and Mary Ambrose.

She was married at Studham on 22nd March 1786, aged 18, to James Plummer, an agricultural labourer. They went on to have several children at Studham between 1786 and 1812, although at least two died young. Several of their children were all baptised on the same day in 1811.

Ann died in the summer of 1837, aged 69. She was buried at Studham on 1st August 1837. James survived her by five years.
