Married George Lear, the seventh child born of Joseph and Elisabeth Garis. George was born April 15, 1791 Tinicum township, died Aug. 18, 1862. After his marriage to Elizabeth in 1816, they bought a 50 acre farm in Nockamixon twp. where they lived until 1830. They moved to an 85 acre farm in Bedmminster twp. In 1834 they returned to Tinicum Twp. where they remained. George owned several lots of land that totaled over 100 acres. Buried Upper Tinicum cemetery. Carpenter and farmer in Tinicum twp. They had nine children. Children were: John Hillpot Lear married Catharine Overpeck Eliza Lear married William Frankenfield Sarah Lear born Sept. 2, 1817, died July 15, 1829 Samuel H.Lear married Catherine Swope 1st, Magdalena Fretz, 2nd Susan H.Lear married Charles B. Joseph H.Lear. married Mary Jane Mills Selina Lear married Abraham Frankenfield Jonas H Lear married Angela Weydemeyer [Possibly could be this person -- Howard Johnston note].

Baptized May 1, 1836 at Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church, sponsors were his parents. Jonas died April 30, 1909. Married Angela Weydemeyer, daughter of Isaac and Catherine Weydemeyer ca. ___1850. She was born February 13, 1840 died June 10, 1906. See Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Records. 1900 census 7:20:9:76 shows married for forty years 3 children all living. Jonas a farmer who owns a farm in Tinicum free and clear. Intell Obits May 3, 1909 Jonas H. Lear a lifelong resident of Tinicum died at his residence near Ottsville on Friday evening April 30, age 73 years. The deceased was a member of the Lower Tinicum Lutheran church, having descended from Lutherans on both sides. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Salena Frankenfield of Pipersville and three daughters, Mrs. Anna M. Wolfinger, who made her residence with her father; Mrs. W.S. Nicholas of Bedminster, and Mrs Dr. A.C. Althouse of Dublin They are buried Lower Tinicum Cemetery. in Tinicum Twp. Howard Johnston note: The marriage date, given as ca. 1850 is obviously incorrect as Jonas would be 15 and his spouse, 10 years of age.
