Case 28250: Tucker Andrew (Capt.) 1740 Sept. 1.
[Andrew Tucker was a merchant, and has a very long probate record (over 100 documents) mostly paying off accounts and completing transactions of a busy merchant, appears to have possibly been insolvent, and so has little information about heirs. So very little of this probate is abstracted here. Somebody interest in his property may wish to read the whole file. For more information on heirs, see the deed cited below.] 1 Sep 1740: Bond of Martha Tucker widow of Marbh'd as adm'x of her Husband Cap't And'w Tucker late of Marbh'd Gen't Dec'd Intestate. 10 Sep 1740: "Inventory of the Demands upon the Estate of Cap't Andrew Tucker Deceased August 19: 1740". 29 Sep 1740: Inventory of estate of Andrew Tucker late of Marblehead deceased. 13 Sep 1742: Account of Martha Tucker adm'x of her Husband Adn'w Tucker late of Marbh'd. 30 Apr 1744: Additional account.

- ↑ Marblehead Records show a marriage of Andrew Jr. to Susanna Hoyle in 1709. In 1709, the man of this page would be Andrew Tucker Jr., but he was a couple of years short of legal age, raising doubts about this marriage record. No evidence beyond the marriage record has been found concerning the marriage to Susanna Hoyle, and no further evidence of anything pertaining to a Susanna Tucker has been found. A survey of deeds executed by Andrew only find mentioned of wife Martha. Susanna Hoyle, d/o John of Marblehead, bp. 1691-2, and is listed on a deed in 1707 with her sisters Christian Moss and Mary Cloutman selling a portion of her father's estate (she signed the deed, but not technically of legal age, and there is no acknowledgement by her) and she was of an age to marry in 1709 (unlike Andrew). If they did marry, with the special permissions required to accomplish to do so under age, then she undoubtedly died soon without any issue (though no evidence of her death is found).
