    Funeral services for Andrew Steinberg, 84, of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa were held July 20, 1992, in Peace Lutheran Church, Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

    He died July 17, 1992, in Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids.

    Mr. Steinberg was born February 6, 1908 in Lennox, South Dakota. He grew up in Lennox and attended country school. When he was 14 he moved with his family to the Inwood area in Lyon county, Iowa. They later moved to Madison, South Dakota. In 1934, he began farming with his father near Madison, and later in Lyon county.

    On June 24, 1944, he married Edna Gjemundson in Madison. They farmed near Rock Rapids. In 1974 they retired into Rock Rapids where he worked for the city parks.

    Survivors include his wife; one son, Ronald of Rock Rapids; one daughter, Marlys Rustman of Washington, Iowa; four grandchildren and three sisters, Sena Mollenbrend, Mrs. Henry (Marge) Kaufmann and Florence Brabee, all of Omaha, Nebraska.
