Andrew MURRAY was christened 11oct1823 at Glasgow (Latter Day Saints). Andrew married Mina Maria BALFOUR (31aug1827-1911) 8jun1849 (information, J. Aglen). Andreas Murray (No. 13576,mat 1836) filius natus maximus Patricii, nuper (recently) Scribae apud (near) Glasgow. Born 11oct1823. W.S. 1845. Crown agent for Scotland 1860-66. Agent for H. M. Woods and Forests 1866-69. Died 23aug1869. son of 7422, nephew of 7327. brother of 14265, 14857, 15158, 15865. Cousin of 14446 (matriculation Glasgow University). Ref to son Patrick names him Andrew Murray jr. (Soc of WS), as does the will of brother John. Possibly the jr. distinguished him from Andrew Murray of Conland (1812-1878).
