Andrew Mitchell, writer, d. 15jul1845 and Lilias Oswald, his relict, d. 3nov1846 at 4 Blythswood Pl, (Glasgow Herald). Andrew Mitchell of Maulside, Glasgow writer (MA 1794); partner of firm Grahame and Mitchell, law agents for University; b. 19oct1774; d. 15jul1845; son of Andrew Mitchell, anti-burgher minister of Beith (Glasgow University graduates). They had a son John Oswald Mitchell (1dec1826, Govan (IGI)-26jan1904). Scottish archives have wills of Andrew Mitchell, Glasgow writer, spouse of Lilias Oswald, reg. 1846, and of Lillias Mitchell alias Oswald, widow of Andrew Mitchell, Glasgow writer, reg. 1847 (scotlandspeople).
