Andrew Collins, Somerset Co. d. leaving a will dated 13 April 1728, proved 4 June 1729. To wife, Mary, dwelling plantation ------ during life; at her decease plantation to pass to sons Thomas and Levin and their heirs. Sons Andrew and John to have certain privileges during minority of their young bros.; and 1/3 personalty during widowhood to pass to all child. equally. To dau. Mary, personalty at decease of wife. To son William, ½ of Isaac Folly, other half of sd. tract to Thomas Davis; and personalty. To sons Andrew and John and to 3 dau. and youngest sons, personalty. Sons to serve until 21 yrs.; shd. Their mother die, to be free at 18 yrs. Test: William, George Parker, Thomas Truitt. {MWB: 6} On 14 Sep 1728 the estate of Andrew Collins, SO Co., dec’d., was appraised at £100.19.0 and approved by Mary Collins, extx., on 18 June 1729. Next of kin were listed as Thomas Collings and Charles Collings. {MINV 14:153} In the 1730 Somerset Co. tax list Mary Collings, widow, was head of household (#456) in Bogerternorton Hundred, and Andrew Collings was listed with her. William Collings (#457) lived next door. In 1731 Mary Collins was head of household and Andrew Collins and John Collins were listed with her. In 1733-1735 Mary Collins was head of household and John Collins was listed with her. William Collins lived next door. In 1736-1740 Mary Collins was head of household and Thomas Collins was listed with her.
