1. Andrew BRATTON was born in 1685 in Donegal, Northern Ireland and died in Augusta County, Virginia.

General Notes: While this person is widely accepted as being the father of these 4 men, I have not been able to find any valid sources for this connection. I am currently using him as a way to connect all of the families into one file. I am still searching and I hope to eventually find the records to prove this relationship.

1686 Donegal Ireland , son Robert C.b.22 May 1712, Donegal, who settled in Augusta Co, Va, m 1 Anne McFarland Dunlap, b in Scotland, 5 sons 1 daughter.

He married in Northern Ireland. Robert, James, Samuel and William and a 5th son all left Ireland in l733. Robert, James, and William all settled in Va. Samuel settled in Penn. The 5th son died at Sea on the voyage over.


Andrew married Audrea before 1712 in Ireland. Audrea was born in 1690 and died about 1783 in Augusta County, Virginia about age 93.
