Andre TEMPLET, born in "Le Mesnil-Boeufs" (Reference: ACADIAN GENEALOGY EXCHANGE; vol. XX, no.2 (Apr 1991); pp. 48-49) married Marguerite LeBLANC on 10 Sep 1759 at St. Servan. He came to LA on "le Bon Papa," listed as a sailor, as are two of his sons.

Andre' TEMPLET was born around 1728 in the parish of Menibeau [sic], France. He settled in Acadia, but was deported in 1755 with his wife and children to France. He came to LA in 1785, and died two years later at St. Gabriel, LA.
