Facts and Events
1869 - 1877 Anderton was Station Master at the Skipton Passenger Station, for the Midland Railway Station. In 1877 he took on the Adelphia Hotel in Burnley, near the railway station. From 1878 to the year of his death, Anderton Wilcock was closely associated with the firm of Messrs Scott & Robinson of Skipton, as a Brewer's Traveller. He belonged to the Craven Lodge of Freemasons, No 810. Anderton was buried in Walton Wrays cemetery, and the sermon was held at the Wesleyan Chapel. |
