Listed in the 1850 Tishomingo County, Mississippi Census, Northern Division, District 4, page 79B, enumerated November 23rd, Dwelling 1081, Household 1081 as Anderson Moses, age 24, farmer, born AL. With wife Jane, and son and daughter. Living next door to S. and Barbry (I think) Moses, probably parents, and also next to a Lucinda Moses and her children. A few doors down is J. Grisham and family. According to family tree records from Pauline Moses, Anderson's son John came to Texas in 1866 with John Grisham. Listed in the 1860 Smith County, Texas Census, Jones Beat, page 52, enumerated July 10th, Dwelling 346, Household 355 as A. N. Moses, age 33, farmer, born MS. With wife and children, minus John. Family tree records from Pauline Moses say John came to Texas in 1866 with John Grisham. Perhaps he stayed in Mississippi for some reason? Also living near Hezekiah Day and family, who lived near them in Tishomingo. Listed in the 1870 Pulaski County, Arkansas Census, Peyatte Township, page 7, enumerated June 11th, Dwelling 63, Household 64 as A.N. Moser, age 45, Carpenter, born TN.
