Indian Agent, Trader and Interpreter east of the Mississippi River and south of the Mason-Dixon. Friend to the Cherokee, Yuchi, Creek, Shawnee, Powhatan, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Apalachee, Seminole and others. Before his death he visited the new Cherokee reservation in Cherokee County, North Carolina.
