AMBROSE FOSTER, JUNIOR was born in 1793. He lived in Tennessee. He loved to Alabama. He later moved to Missouri. He then moved to Texas.

Ambrose Foster married Susanna Medlin on August 26, 1813 in Bedford County, Tennessee

Ambrose purchased land in Alabama in Section 17, Township 11, Range 15 W. The cost was $100 for 80 acres paid on February 15, 1826.

Ambrose and his family moved to Missouri between 1830 and 1832.

The 1840 census shows Ambrose living with his family in Carroll Township, Platte County, Missouri.

Ambrose purchsed land in Platte County, Missouri for $1.25 an acre and sold a portion of the land for $8.25 an acre on May 13, 1845 and the remaining land for $8.75 an acre on September 8, 1845.

Family tradition says that he made a trip to Texas in the Spring of 1845 with his two older sons to build a cabin and raise a crop before all of his family arrived in November 1845. He paid $1.00 an acre to Peter's Agent to surbey his 640 acres.
