- *10 January 1767 This Indenture made this 10th day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty-seven between John Hailey of the County of Charlotte of the one part and William Christopher of the said County of the other part, Witnesseth: that the said John Hailey for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said William Christopher hath given, granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Christopher, his heirs, and assigns forever one certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing 145 Acres, more or less, lying in the County of Charlotte aforesaid on the middle Fork of Sandy Creek and bounded as followeth: ______." Among the witnesses was Ambrose Christopher.

- *18 May 1772 This Indenture made this eighteenth day of May, one thousand seven hundred and seventy-two between James and Ambrose Christopher of the County of Charlotte of the one part and Robert Dinwiddie & Co., Merchants, Great Britain of the other part. Witnesseth: Whereas the said James and Ambrose is indebted to the said Dinwiddie & Co., in the sum of £38-12-5 Current Money of Virginia and for the securing the payment thereof, together with lawful interest thereon to be computed from the first September last, and also all costs of writing and recording these presents it is agreed upon by and between the parties aforesaid that the several articles and things hereafter mentioned and particularly described now in possession and occupation of the said James and Ambrose shall by these presents be vested in the said Dinwiddie & Co., to and for their sole use and benefit. In trust nevertheless ? ? tract of land in County of Charlotte on branches of Sandy Creek. One Hundred and fifty-five Acres. James Christopher Ambrose Christopher" John Haley one of witnesses. - *1795 - Deed Book 16/345 Halifax County, VA This indenture made this second day of March in the year of our Lord onethousand seven hundred & ninety five between Ambrous Christopher of the county of Halifax of the one part & Elisha Griffin of the same county of the other part. Witnefseth that the said Christopher for an inconsideration of the sum of twenty pounds to him in hand paid by the said Griffin. The receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledged & hath granted,bargained, sold & confirmed by thes e presents doth grant bargain, sell & confirm unto the Griffin & to his heirs & afsigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Halifax bounded as followeth. (To Wit) Beginning at a corner white oak on Buchshoal Branch, thence running on East course to the spring, thence to an inferior prong of said Buckshoal to corner post oak, thence turning a south west course to a scaly bark hickory tree on Buckshoal Branch,thence running down the said branch to Robert Rogers line , thence down the Branch to the beginning whit e oak tree containing seventy acres be the same more of lefs with all woods, under woods, ways, swamps, low grounds, minds & minerals & with all the appurtenances the reunto belonging or in anywise appertaining & all the estate right title claims. Interest use property & demands whatsoever of him the said Ambrous Christopher of in & to the premises & every part thereof & the reversion & reversions, remainder & remainders thereof to have & to holdthe said par cel of land to the said Elisha Griffin & to his heirs &afsigns. Forever & the said Christoph er for his part covenanteth & agrees to & with the said Griffin his heirs & afsigns that he the said Christopher is and stand legal of an absolute & indefeasible estate insaid land & hath good right full power & lawful authority to sell & convey the same & he the said Christopher futher promiseth, covenaneth & agreeth that he & his heirs the parcel of land afforsaid to the said Griffin & his heirs forever against the title claims challenges or demands of all & every person or persons whatsoever shall & will warrant & forever by these present defend . In witnefs whereof the said Ambrous Christopher hath hereunto set my hand & seal the day of years above written.

Witnefseth that the said Christopher for an in considerationof the sum of thirty pounds to him in hand paid by the said Gold. Thereceipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledged & hath granted, bargained, sold & confirmed by these presents doth grant bargain, sell & confirm unto thesaid Daniel Gold & to his heirs & afsigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Halifax bounded as followeth. (ToWit) Beginning at a corner maple tree on Buckshoal Branch thence on said Christopher line in an north east course to a corner pine, thence southto corner post oak on Elisha Griffins sine thence on said Griffins line awest course to a corner white oak on Buskshoal thence down Buckshoal as it meanders to the beginning maple tree containing fifty acres more of lefs with all woods, under woods, ways, swamps, low grounds, minds & minerals& with all the appertainances thereunto belonging or in anywiseappertaining & all the estate right title claims. Witnefseth that the said Ambrose Christopher for an inconsideration of the sum of one hundred fifty pounds current money of Virginia to himin hand paid by the said Wallis Wilson. The receipt whereof and the said Ambrose Christopher doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted, bargained& sold & by these presents doth give grant bargain, deliver & confirm untothe said Wallis Wilson his heirs & afsigns forever one certain tract orparcel of land lying and being in the county of Halifax bounded as followeth.(To Wit) Beginning at a corner oak Buckshoal thence on Elisha Griffins lineto corner red oak, thence on Reubin Jones line pointers on said line, thenceto corner pine thence to white osk sapplin near corner pine thence to postoak on the said Joneses line thence to a corner post oak thence on Parrishesand the said Wallis Wilson line to a corner hickory thence on Gold's line to Buckshoal on corner naple thence up Buckshoal to the beginning containingby estimation one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or lefs togather with all and singular the priviledges and appertainances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining.
