- ↑ "Adjudged Insane--Amanda Krumm, wife of Jacob Krumm, a prominent farmerof Lima township, was adjudged insane by the Probate court Tuesday andwas taken over to the State Hospital at Columbus on the noon interurbancar. The affidavit was filed by Dr. C.H. Wells of Summit Station, whostated that the patient, who is 32 years old, had refused propernourishment, was sleepless and refused to nurse her children; that shemade attempts to crawl into the stove and that she performed other acts,incident to a diseased and unsound mind."

Shewas formerly at the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Geiser nearLithopolis. Born March 22, 1877 in at net township, she was thedaughter of John Rostofer and Anna [Albert] Rostofer. Her husbandpreceded her in death in 1952, and surviving are four daughters, MissGladys Krumm of Kirkersville, Mrs. Hazel Bowshier of New Salem, Mrs.Daisy Haegele, Pataskala R. F. D. 1 and Mrs. Janet Geiser, Lithopolis;three sons, Richard and Harold, Pataskala area and Marrel of Audubon,New Jersey; also 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister,Miss Elva T. Rostofer of Kirkersville.
The Rev. Robert Miller of Lithopolis will officiate at services at 2 PMSunday in the Thurston Funeral Home in Pataskala and burial will be inPataskala Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home."
