Mrs. Amanda Belle Myers, for many years a prominent resident of Piney township, Clarion county, died at her late home Sunday January 26, 1936 at 6:30 p.m. She was aged 81 years 7 months and 18 days. A kind and loving mother, she will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren. As long as health permitted she was active in her relations with the Licking Presbyterian church, of which she had long been a member. Mrs. Myers was the widow of the late Wallie Myers who preceded her in death 18 years ago. To their union eight children were born, seven of whom survive, viz. William, Amos, Henry, Clyde, Richard, Mrs. Lottie Laughin, Mrs. Flossie Summervile, all of Sligo, Pa. One daughter, Minnie, died 5 years ago. Besides, she is survived by 8 grandchildren. Fuenral services for her memory were held at the home on January 29 conducted by her pastor, Rev. J.T. Howarth, following which interment took place in the family mausoleum at the Licking cemetery.
