KEEFER Daily American, December 22, 1994 

 Alverda Alice Keefer, 94, of 131 Gay St., Salisbury, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1994, at Meyersdale Medical Center.  Born July 23, 1900, at Glencoe, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Elizabeth (Saylor) Smith.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Z. Keefer, Aug. 15, 1962; a son, Paul, and 2 infant sons.  Survivors include a son, Donald Keefer, Salisbury; a daughter, Lorene Hall, Pocahontas; a brother, Irving Smith, Glencoe; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.  Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lutheran  Church Women, Meyersdale Medical Center Auxiliary.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.  Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury.
