Alverda Myers

Fostoria -- Funeral services for Alverda May Myers, 104, a resident of Go od Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at G race United Church of Christ, Fostoria, the Rev. Don Giesmann officiatin g. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fo storia.

Mrs. Myers died at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 at her residence.

She was born May 15, 1898 in Jackson Twp to Charles and Orrie Ellen (Walte rmier) Master. She married Roy C Myers on May 27, 1965, and he died Sep t. 1, 1976.

Surviving are three stepdaughters, Helen Stearns, Mrs. Herbert (Gladys) Ha vens and Mrs. Vincent (Florence) Brubaker, all of Fostoria; 11 step-grandc hildren; and several step-great- and step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Dorothy Cochran; and a brothe r, James Wilbur.

Mrs. Myers was a homemaker.

She attended Heidelberg College, Tiffin.

She was a 91-year member of Grace United Church of Christ and its Fidel ia Sunday school class; and was a member of Women's Christian Temperance U nion; and Fostoria Historical Society.
