Tampa Tribune, The (FL) - January 18, 1992: ALTA M. DURGEE ALTA M. DURGEE, 74, of Avon Park died Thursday at Highlands Regional Medical Center. A native of Palermo, N.Y., she moved to this area seven years ago from Miami. She was a licensed practical nurse and Methodist. She is survived by her husband, Marvin; three sons, Ronald of Charleston, S.C., Richard of Boca Raton and Rocklyn of South Miami; her mother, Lola Robinson of Gainesville; two brothers, Clifton Vanepps of Fort Lauderdale and Charles Robinson of Gainesville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Dowden Funeral Home, Sebring.
