Death of A. L. (Alonzo Lonnie) Long, 67 year-old farmer living near High, (Lamar County, Texas) occurred Monday (29 June, 1942) at 9:15 p.m. at his home, after a short illness. He was born April 5, 1874.

The funeral service was announced for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Roxton Cemetery chapel, conducted by Brookston Methodist pastor, the Rev. G. H. Gattis, with internment by Brown-Roden Funeral Home. Named as pallbearers were Roy May, Roy Williams, J. T. Ward, Roscoe McClure, Willis Brannon and C. C. Coker.

He leaves his wife and these children: Cecil Long, Dallas; Alton and Ralph Long, High; Argle Long and Mrs. Mary Smith, somewhere in Tennessee; Mrs. Oscar Anderson and Mrs. Edward Anderson of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. James Runton, somewhere in Arizona; Mrs. Herman Graham, Paris, and Mrs. Willie Yancey, Davis, Okla., besides a sister, Mrs. Neely Lewis, Jackson, Tenn.
