Allen Steigerwalt, 69, of Hatfield, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He was the husband of the late Mary "Sharon" Steigerwalt who passed away in 2011. Born November 22, 1942 in Bowmanstown, he was the son of the late Kermit W. and Madeline (Lauchnor) Steigerwalt. Mr. Steigerwalt was employed as a bottler with Lehigh Valley Diaries. Mr. Steigerwalt enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, camping, hunting, boating, and especially playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Allen "Ray" Steigerwalt of Hatfield, Sue Keyser of Hatfield, Kermit Jay and his wife, Christina, of Mt. Carmel, Margaret "Peggy" Steigerwalt and Ken Artman of Mt. Carmel and Scott Keith Steigerwalt and his wife, Christine, of Quakertown; his sisters, Josephine H. Kubly, Grace M. Selbi and Gail D. Wotring; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11AM Tuesday, September 4 at the Indian Creek Church of the Brethren, 821 Main Street, Harleysville, where friends may call for the viewing from 10 to 11AM. Interment will follow Wednesday September 5 in the adjoining church cemetery at 10AM.
