    Alien married 1st to Ruth Sevier Clark (1790 - 1830) about 1807 in Pendleton, Pendleton District, South Carolina (presently in Anderson County, SC). She was a daughter of Major William Hansen Clark (1757–1843) and Ruth Goodwin (1761–1852).

    Allen married 2nd to Polly Anne Blair (1792–1854) on 11/21/1813 in the city of Franklin, Georgia. She was a daughter of Col. James Hayes Blair (1761–1839) and Mary Elizabeth Powell (1765–1839). Her parents were married in 1782 in Burke Co, NC which was formed from Rowan County in 1777.
