Obituary

MUNCIE - Alice L. Henman, 95, died Thursday afternoon, April 21, 2005 at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born in Muncie May 21, 1909 the daughter of George and Alice Engle Watson, graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1927, and married Harry E. Henman July 9, 1927.

Mrs. Henman was a member of College Avenue United Methodist Church for 61 years where she served on various committees. She was also active in Delta Alpha Latrain Sorority, Phi beta Psi Sorority, and the Elks Ladies Golf Association.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Folk, Kalamazoo, Michigan; two sons, Harry R. "Dick" Henman (wife-Patricia) and Thomas Henman (wife-Dixie), both of Muncie; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Harry E. Henman in 1975, her son, Jerry E. Henman in 1977, and a grandson.

Services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory Chapel at 2:30 p.m. on Monday with Rev. Brian Siefert officiating.

Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory from 2 until 5 p.m. on Sunday or one hour prior to services on Monday.
