In the May 17,1990 Thursday edition of the Bremerton Sun. Lifelong resident Alice M. Holland, 75, died Friday at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Funeral servives are pending. She was born May 25,1914 in Bremerton, and was raised here. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1931. In 1950 she went to work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring as a buyer in 1972. She enjoyed sewing and playing cards with the Catholic Ladies Bridge Club. She was a member of Crosby Chapel. In addition, Mrs. Holland was past president of the Mercededs Benz Club of America's Seattle section and was a member of the Retired Navy Officers' Wives Club, the Bremerton Auto Club, Classic Thunderbird club International and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She is survived by her husband Joseph; a son Tom Burton of Oakdale,Calif; a daughter, Vicki Neiman of Seattle; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Intombment will be at Hillcrest Mausoleum. Forest Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel. The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society, c/o Chairman, P.O. Box 4258 Wycoff Station, Bremerton,Wa. References
