SOURCES: In 2012 from Lauri Kraemer Serafin <lauriks@hotmail.com>  Historical Records:  1810 Census: "Alexander Kendle", Hadley, Saratoga County, NY. Household of 10; presumably Alexander, Jane, John or Duncan, Hugh, Alexander,Jane, Margaret, Joseph?, Charles, and unknown male child.  I believe this is Kennedy, not "Kendle", because of the proximity to the Stewart farm in both the 1810 and 1820 censuses.   1811: Tax assessment roll, Hadley, Saratoga, Co.   1812: "British Aliens in the U.S. during the War of 1812".  Kanada, Alexander, age 48, 12 years in U.S., wife and 5 children, Hadley, Saratoga Co., farmer (documented sometime between 14-19 Sept.1812).  British subjects were required to report during the war bylaw.  This shows that Alexander had not naturalized by that time. The five children might have been Hugh, Alexander, Jane, Margaret, and Charles.  1820 Census:"Alexander Canada", household of 8, presumably Alexander, Jane, Hugh or Joseph?, Jane, Margaret, Charles, Nancy, and Charlotte.   1830 Census: "Alexander Kenedy", household of 6, presumably Alexander, Jane, Margaret, Charlotte, Nancy, and an unknown male(Joseph)?.  Hugh is in Ashtabula Co., Ohio.  Charles might be in Ohio with Hugh, as he marries in Feb. 1831 is Ashtabula County.  1840 Census: "Alexander Canaby", household of 5, presumably Alexander, Jane, Charlotte, Margaret, and ?.  1846: Alexander Kennedy sold his land in Saratoga County.   1850 Census: "Alexander Kennedy", age 90, born in Scotland in Warrensburg, Warren County.  Household of 3; Alexander, Jane, and Charlotte.  Listed next to the household of John Moon and his wife, Jane Kennedy Moon.   1855 Census:  Jane Kennedy states she removed to Warrensburg in 1846, as he been in Warrensburg for 9 years.   There are no Canady or Kennedy listings in the following local resources:  Wills and probate in Warren or Saratoga Counties.  Marriage & death notices in the Saratoga Sentinel newspaper 1819 to 1837. Hadley Hill Cemetery internments, Hadley, Saratoga County.
