Albert Alois Tebben was born to John and Dora (Philiph) Tebben on February 12, 1897 in Remson, Iowa. He spent his early years in Remsen. In 1904 or early 1905 the family moved to a farm in Chanarambie Township, Murray County, Minnesota where the family was enumerated in the State of Minnesota Census in mid-June 1905. On April 15, 1910 they family was recorded in the U.S. Census as living in Woodstock. Albert's June 5, 1918 World War I Draft Registration card shows he was living in Woodstock and working as a Tile Layer in Pipestone County. He listed his father, John, as his nearest relative. Albert entered military service August 27, 1918 and trained at Camp Grant, a U.S. Army facility located in the southern outskirts of Rockford, Illinois. A Private in Company 19, 161st Depot Brigade, Albert died on December 12, 1918, at Camp Grant, of influenza. References
