- ↑ Lake Odessa - Albert (Hap) L. Shellenbarger, 82 of 7644 Martin Road, La ke Odessa, passed away Thursday, May 30, 1991 at the Thornapple Manor, Has tings.
He was born October 20, 1908 in Woodland Township, the son of Herbert a nd Mary (McCarty) Shellenbarger. He graduated from Woodland High Scho ol in 1928 and was married to Dorothy Bever March 21, 1931 in Lake Odess a.
He lived and farmed in the Lake Odessa area most all of this life. He al so was a salesman for the Federal Fertilizer Company for several years.
He was a member and past president of the Barry County Farm Bureau, the La ke Odessa Lions Club, Past president of the Farm Bureau Petroleum, and ser ved as president of the Woodland School Board from 1951 to 1956.
Mr. Shellenbarger is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Lee Shellenba rger of Lake Odessa, a foster son Ron Bodenmuller of Woodland; 10 grandchi ldren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son Paul, July 4, 1977 and one brother, Pe rle in 1951.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 2 at the Koops Funeral Chapel, La ke Odessa with Reverend Marvin Stuart officiating. Burial was in Lakesi de Cemetery, Lake Odessa.
