Burmantoft
Leeds
He was an artist, he did woodcarving and pottery. He made a blanket chest and bedroom suite for Olive and Tom. He did the angels on the altar screen in the little church at Dunkeswick, below Harewood Bank. He worked at Burmantoft Fireclay Company at some point and bought lots of pottery seconds. He taught at Leeds Art College for a time, where a friend taught jewellery making , hence the peridot ring and brooch which he made for Alice, which were stolen from Stella in 1992ish.
According to a piece of paper with things Grandpa told me, he had a lot of nieces and nephews called
- Phil with sons John and Bernard (born 1940)
- Triss ?married to Polly's nephew Leon Andoin
- Trevor, Trex and Rita
