OBITUARY: ALBERT H. KNIGHT Albert Harvey Knight, 74, Blue Mound, died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Mercy Hospital. He was a retired farmer and had worked for 11 years as custodian of the schools at Beeler, Kan. On March 14, 1940, he married Elva Lake at Fort Scott. She survives at the home in Blue Mound, where the couple had lived following Mr. Knight's retirement in 1968. Also surviving are a son, Charlew W. Knight of Ottawa: three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Lee Schmalzried of Fischbach, Germany; Mrs. Wilma Alberta Hampson of Dodge City and Mrs. Navella Mae Richey of Topeka; a brother, Clifford Knight of Caldwell, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Eyman of Deerfield, Kan, and Mrs. Helen Berry of Satsop, Wash.; and nine grandchildren. Fairchild Funeral Home of Blue Mound has charge of arrangements. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Blue Mound United Methodist Church with Rev. Gene Damewood officiating. Burial will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery at Blue Mound. The family will receive friends at the Fairchild Chapel in Blue Mound from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
