    Early Tuesday morning Dr. Arthur C. Fox [sic] passed away at his home in Lincolnton, North Carolina, after an illness of four months. The immediate cause of his death being a stroke of paralysis which he suffered the Thursday previous to his decease.
    For many years Dr. Fox had made his home in Waynesboro, going to North Carolina to reside about two years ago. He was a physician of honorable standing and was greatly beloved by his many friends and former patients in this vicinity.
    Dr. Fox was born in Alabama April 24th, 1848. He came to Waynesboro when a young man to practice medicine, and here married Miss Mannie Coyner. From this union there were five children: Mrs. James Hayes, of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Wm. Rodgers, of Texas, Mrs. Bernard Shepherd, of Craigsville, Va., Misses Lottie and Lillian Fox, of Lincolnton, N. C., all of whom with his widow, survive him.
    The body was brought to Waynesboro Wednesday morning and the last funeral rites were held in Riverview cemetery at 9 o'clock. Dr. D. K. Walthall pastor of the Presbyterian Church had charge of the services.
    Dr. Fox being a member of the Lee Lodge for many years. The pallbearers were Masons.
