    FOX, J. FRANCKE, M.D. Born in Lincoln County, N.C., in 1863, the son of Alfred J. and Lydia (Bost) Fox. Educated at King's Mountain, University of Virginia and New York University. First practiced in Lincoln County and Waynesboro, N.C., came to Bluefield in 1892 as surgeon for the New River Division of the Norfolk and Western Railroad. Married Annie Fulcher; two children, Francke F. and Edwin Alfred. He is the oldest surgeon, in point of service, on the medical staff of the railroad.
