    Albert William Crumrine Jr., 81, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away at 1:50 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Sharon Health Care Elms in Peoria.

    He was born Oct. 14, 1929, to Albert William Crumrine Sr. and Jenniebelle Dodge Crumrine in Clarksville. He married Bertha Evelyn Mayfield on Aug. 8, 1948, in Clarksville.

    Bertha survives along with their beloved children: daughter, Janice Anne (Crumrine) Buchna and her husband, William Robert Buchna of Wheaton, Ill.; daughter, Rhonda Lynn (Crumrine) McNally and her husband, Thomas Richard McNally of Broomfield, Colo.; son, Edward Lee Crumrine and his wife, Andrea Hawk Crumrine of N. Canton, Ohio. He is also survived by six beloved grandchildren: Brian Robert Buchna of Wheaton, Ill., Mark William Buchna of Wheaton, Ill., Brianne Lynn (McNally) Claus and her husband, Adam Thomas Claus of Pittsburgh, Pa., Kevin Thomas McNally of Cincinnati, Ohio, Adam Edward Crumrine and his wife, Marissa (Varcho) Crumrine of Dublin, Ohio, and Harrison Lee Crumrine of Williamsburg, Va. Also surviving are three brothers and two sister, Kenneth Wayne Crumrine of Canyon Springs, Texas, Elizabeth Joanne Crumrine of Castle Rock, Colo., Dorothy Ione (Crumrine) Anglin of Clarksville, Ark., Henry Lee Crumrine of Lake Jackson, Texas, and James Edward Crumrine of Clarksville, Ark.

    Al moved to Peoria from Clarksville in June 1948, worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 39 years, including 34 years as an engineer. He was active in the Society of Automotive Engineers for many years. He was an Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts for several years and completed Wood Badge training. Al enjoyed outdoor activities with his family such as camping, hiking, backpacking, gardening, fishing and traveling.

    Visitation was held last Saturday at the Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service has been held. Burial of ashes will be in Oakland Cemetery, Clarksville, at a later date.
